Organizational Capacity and Arrangements
Capiz Division is a medium size division under the DepEd Rationalization Program (DepEd 53, s. 2013). In the implementation of the Rationalization Program, the new set-up for Medium size Division, the number of personnel in each section are:
- SDO Proper– 14
- Curriculum Implementation Division – 29
- School Governance and Operations Division 31
The Division has organized different teams for different programs and projects implemented, to name a few:
- Division Planning Team
- Technical Assistance & Monitoring Teams
- Training and Development Team and
- Continuous Improvement Team
Teams in the Division Office are distinguished through the different functional sections/units classified according to their functions and services delivered. Teams are organized and members are identified according to the competencies needed in the implementation of the programs/projects to ensure that right people will do the tasks and required inputs are delivered.
The Schools Division Superintendent and the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent directs, guides, assists, supports and provides overall leadership to personnel in the whole division.
On the other hand, school heads are required to attend orientation meetings and regular Division Management Committee Meetings (MANCOM) where the Superintendent communicates to the EPSs, PSDSs, Specialists, Unit Heads and school heads the programs/projects or activities to be implemented as well as the goals and targets of the Division.
To harmonize the role and functions of the different units/sections in the Division, the Schools Division Superintendent strengthens coordination through proper flow of communication and feedback system among each functional units/sections. Adherence to policies and guidelines in the use of critical resources of the Division (people, pesos, physical facilities) by Division personnel.
